Maxx&Unicorn Co. is dedicated to designing artful products intended for everyday use and crafted with pride in the USA. Their designs are often inspired by practicality and defined by the nature of domestically (USA) sourced materials and the process of local manufacturing that is essential to the brand.
M&U started their business back in 2007 with a single wallet design. Though it has evolved over the years, their original stitchless bi-fold wallet is still made the same way it has always been. It starts with a single pattern piece of leather engineered with a simple fold and tab construction and is assembled by hand in their Brooklyn workshop. All of the leather goods in the folded collection follow this same design principle.
Over the years, M&U have successfully paired their wallets with thousands of satisfied customers who appreciate the special design approach, aesthetic and the quality.
The Maxx&Unicorn brand and product offering has grown organically through the influences of creative and like-minded people, and that is one of the reasons why we were so eager to bring Maxx&Unicorn to the Australian people, and spread the quality of their brand here, down under.
Danny P. Leather
Danny P. Leather started with “Scuffgate” and a question: How can I protect my iPhone 5's black aluminum edges? Danny held off putting his in a protective case, because, well, he liked admiring the phone's unique design and didn't want to cover it up in some cheap plastic case.
So he started to brainstorm ways to fix the problem. There are two things he is never without – his iPhone and my wallet. So why not buy a wallet case that could easily accommodate both cash, credit cards and phone?
Long story short, one thing led to another and result was a decision to manufacture his own leather wallet with a built-in case for an iPhone.
A few things were clear to Danny P from the very beginning: if they want to conquer the world with a top-notch product, they must settle for nothing but the best possible materials, work with the most skilled people in the industry and produce our products where there’s a proven track record.
They finally found the perfect manufacturer in the heart of Europe - the Czech Republic. Unlike many others around the world, these guys have been working with leather for more than 100 years! We wish you could see how they work their magic.
The rest is history, and the Danny P. Leather range grew organically from there, until we at The Gentelman's Trading Company discovered the Danny P phone wallet, and decided, we must have it also!
So now, here it is for you.
Martenero watches are designed for versatility, legibility, and classic style. All watches offer clean, well proportioned designs that exclude all non-essential features. Every Martenero watch is custom designed in New York.
The amazing thing about Martenero, is that you can give your watch a unique character and match it to your own personal aesthetic by choosing the colour of the dial, hands, and strap. You're wearing a Martenero watch, but you can make it your own.
In an age where most things have gone digital, a mechanical watch is a rare holdout. No batteries. No circuit boards. A delicate balance of gears, springs, and weights. One of the few expressions of style available to most men, while also serving a practical purpose. But more importantly, a mechanical watch is a reminder to self and to others that time is scarce, and not to be misspent.
Built In New York
With The Gentleman's Trading Company, we are able to allow customisation of your Marterno watch order, and they will then be hand built in their New York facility. Following the build process, the watch will be regulated to ensure maximum accuracy prior to shipping.
All of their watches offer premium features such as mechanical movements, sapphire crystals, and high water resistance. They are guaranteed to be free of defects and work reliably for at least 2 years, but are expected to last for decades and longer with minimal maintenance.

Armstrongs All Natural
Armstrong's All Natural began when an artist and furniture maker in Brooklyn, NY grew tired of always having to change into his "nice boots" at the end of a day's work. "Why am I always changing in and out of boots? Why not just have one pair I can always wear?" he thought. So, he searched for an all natural product to keep his boots looking their finest, day-in, day-out. Of course, most products he came across were loaded with cheap petroleum by-products, artificial, synthetic, filler chemicals and the ones that claimed to be all natural seemed way too oily, therefore over-saturating his boots after the second application. Over a year later, and with the assistance of many eager boot wearing Brooklynite focus groups, the Brooklyn Boot Wax formula was perfected.
And from there, they grew. The more people that liked our Boot Wax, the more people they had asking us to develop products for their specific needs. When our friend Joe asked us to create an all natural product that would bring back his cracked, dried out vintage leather messenger bag that had long been neglected, they started working on and developed our all natural leather conditioner. Friends in cafes and restaurants came to us to develop an alternative to their current method of keeping up their cutting boards: wanting to get away from using the petroleum by-product mineral oil, commonly used on cutting boards, they came up with a fantastic recipe utilising cold-pressed grapeseed oil, beeswax and carnauba wax for our Butcher Block Wax.
As they continue to grow and expand, they will always make it our priority to source natural, sustainable ingredients, even in our packaging. That means everything they offer is renewable, recyclable, or compostable. They are a small company. Our products are designed, developed and handmade in New York, USA. They are locally sourcing pure, natural ingredients that support sustainable farming practices in order to produce the highest quality handcrafted, artisanal products possible.
